At the 2 hour mark we are at 203 total calls, 83 DM's and 1 restraining order threat for continually calling.

From last week’s frenzy Friday……I MPCed a client called Joint Venture Group for project work and he called me back yesterday to talk to me about an IT project he needed help with. We have an associate working out there today and for the next week helping him with that project!!!!

Here is the text from a speech Bill gave this morning in his attempt to get everyone pumped up.
Hey everybody, Welcome back to round 2 of Frenzied Friday!!
Last week as an office we did complete 392 sales contacts with 210 DMS. Give yourselves a hand!! I would like to thank Kristen and Norm for giving the opportunity to give a little pump up speech here. Since you all know that I have NEVER gotten up on a soap box and ranted…..I guess this is practice for when I run for office….HERE WE GO…
How many of you listened to the news on the drive in this morning? Anyone read the paper this week? How about watch Fox News, CNN or MSNBC….if you did there is one common thread. The economy is terrible, it’s the worst financial crisis in 70 years…unemployment is rising, plants are closing; companies are doing mass lay offs. The stock market is tanking and with it your 401k. Foreclosures are up and people are losing their homes… it can get pretty depressing……
I am not here to depress you this morning…. I am here to pump you up. Here is a reality check. The economy is rough and companies are cutting back. Here is my solution. DEAL WITH IT. Does anyone know how many total sales contacts we made this week last year???? Anyone…someone guess? 244……244 for the whole office 244 with 167 DM’s reached. Does anyone how many sales contacts we made last week?......1170 with 671 DM’s…. think about that for a second. We are doing nearly 5x as much sales activity this year as we were last year at this time. I am proud of all of, as teammates, for stepping up your game. I would put our team up against anyone in Express Employment Professionals franchise system. Give yourselves a hand.
Now, there is fear all over the place today. Many of our clients are scared because their business is down. Many of our Associates are afraid because they have been laid off and it’s taking longer to find new assignments for them. Many of our colleagues across the Express Universe are afraid because their business is down.
We have a unique opportunity today. A thousand set of eyes will be watching us from ILC. We have the opportunity to spread hope and reject fear. We have the opportunity to show other Express Employment Professional Franchisee’s that massive sales activity is possible. There is no magic script, no magic calling list, only good old fashioned sales calls. I know that hammering through sales calls is not easy….. Hearing No, 10 or 20 or even 30 times in a day isn’t my idea of fun. It isn’t glamorous or exciting to grind through no after no, but eventually you get to the yes, and when you get that yes it is one of the best feelings in the world. When we hear that yes we have the opportunity to put another person to work and in this economy; every person put to work counts. We can be the company that is spreading hope into the community! We can give hope back to our associates. They are counting on us.
We all work for Express because we have one thing in common; we care about people. I can’t motivate you to make sales calls today, that has to come from inside you. If you are having trouble getting motivated think about our associates who have been laid off. When you think about them make one more call because that call could be the one that leads to a job order and a new job.

In La Crosse we have been blessed with two new wonderful interns King and Jessie that have not shied away from the pressures of sales. They have mastered the art of getting to the decision maker through reference checks and have not been afraid to ask the difficult questions, even when they are trying to be pushed away. King and Jessie have lead us to many new leads, which in the future I have no doubts will lead to new great clients that we can help become better through there staffing needs.
